The Trinity Explained

The Christian religion is based on the idea of a Trinity, which is the one true God manifested in three forms. This is a difficult concept to understand, but it does not mean that Christianity is based on three Gods! Jesus said in the New Testament.

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

(John 14:9-11 ESV)

Our Story

God The Father

The one true almighty God. He is the Apha and the omega. The first and the last. No one created God. His existence is external; which means He has no beginning and no end.

God put on flesh and came down to earth to relate to his creation in the form of Jesus. God the father brought the law to the Jews through Mosses. God realized we would never be perfect and sinless. So he provided a way for us to get into heaven. That was Jesus:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

God The Son

The person of Jesus who is God in human form. Jesus came into this world to provide salvation because no man was ever righteous enough to atone for another’s sins. Jesus’ death made atonement for the sins of the world.

What better way for God to relate to his creation? To know our struggles, our pain, our happiness and provide us with a blue print on how to live our lives.

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:16 ESV)

God The Holy Spirit

The spirit of God that dwells inside every person who accepts Jesus as Savior. He is the voice of wisdom directing Christians towards grace and truth and away from fleshly tendencies.

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

(John 14:15-17 ESV)

"My Path"

I began to realize during my journey, that no matter where you go or what you do in life, nothing is more important than where your soul is going to spend eternity. Regardless of whether your beliefs were passed down to you by your parents or you came to your own conclusions through media and other books. If you have not yet investigated Christianity completely — not just reading a chapter or two or listening to what an aquaintance or family member tells you — then ask yourself why? Have you simply never questioned the beliefs your parents passed down to you or your friends? What if they were wrong, and all of these Christ followers are right? If the “billions” of Christians are indeed right, the consequences are farther reaching than this place we call Earth. It goes beyond the grave! Do you want to search for the truth or are you following a “culture” for fear that you may offend a parent, other family member or friend?

32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

(John 8:32 ESV )
